Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of the Amble Pedometer: Step Tracker mobile application (“Amble”). By installing or using Amble you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Licence
Amble is provided free of charge for personal use on devices you own or are responsible for. You may not resell it, redistribute modified copies of it, or attempt to decompile or reverse engineer it except where that right cannot lawfully be restricted.
Counts are estimates
Amble counts with your phone’s sensors, which can miss steps or count movement that was not walking, and the travel guard can hold steps you did take. Distance and calories are estimates from your stride, height and weight. Amble is not a medical device; do not rely on it for medical decisions.
Counting in the background
Background counting depends on your phone: battery savers, the phone maker’s own app management, or the phone being off can stop it, and on iPhone the system keeps step data for only seven days. Amble shows when counting was interrupted and how to fix it, but cannot promise a complete count.
Your data
Your step history is stored only on your phone, and you are responsible for keeping it. We cannot recover it if the data is deleted, the app is uninstalled or the phone is lost; save a backup file if it matters to you.
Advertising
Amble is supported by ads, provided by Google AdMob under Google’s own terms. We are not responsible for the content of ads or for any product or site an ad leads to.
No warranty
Amble is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise that it will work on every phone, that every step will be counted, or that the app will be free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any lost data, any missed or miscounted steps, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Amble. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes and availability
We may update, change or discontinue Amble or any of its features at any time.
