Data Deletion
Amble has no account and no server of ours, so there is no profile of you anywhere for us to delete. Everything the app stores lives on your own phone, and you can remove it yourself, immediately, without asking us.
Delete your step history
Open Settings → Privacy & about → Delete all step data and confirm with Delete everything. That erases every day of history, any steps on hold, your streaks and your achievements. It cannot be undone — Amble has no server to restore from — so save a backup first if you may want them back.
Your profile and settings (height, weight, stride, goal and reminders) are kept, so counting carries on. Change them in Settings → Profile.
Delete everything
Uninstall Amble and everything it stored goes with it, profile and settings included, because nothing was kept anywhere else. On Android you can also use Settings → Apps → Amble → Storage → Clear storage.
Backups and images you made
A backup file you saved, or a week card you shared, is outside the app. Delete it wherever you put it.
Health Connect
Amble never writes to Health Connect, so there is nothing of Amble’s in it to delete. To stop Amble reading steps, remove its permission in Health Connect, or switch the backup off in Settings → Step counting. Steps that your phone or other apps recorded in Health Connect are managed in Health Connect itself.
Analytics, crash reports and the advertising identifier
Analytics and crash reports are tied to a Firebase installation identifier, not to your name, email or account, and Analytics never collects the advertising identifier. Uninstalling ends that identifier, a new installation starts with a new one, and Google deletes the old data on its own retention schedule. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you can also withdraw analytics storage at any time in Settings → Privacy & about → Ad privacy options, after which Analytics keeps no identifier for your installation.
The advertising identifier belongs to your phone, not to Amble: reset or delete it in your phone’s settings (on Android under Google → Ads, or Privacy → Ads; on iPhone under Privacy & Security → Tracking), and change your consent in Settings → Privacy & about → Ad privacy options where it is offered. What AdMob holds about ads shown to you is under Google’s control, described at policies.google.com/privacy.
If you would still like to make a request
Write to amblestepcounter@makekk.com, and ask us to delete the analytics and crash data for your installation if you like. Because that data is not linked to your name or email, tell us your phone model and roughly when you installed Amble; we will confirm what is and is not held — which, for an app with no account and no server, is nothing that identifies you — and ask Google to delete whatever we can find.
